Micro-Epsilon developed Inductive Displacement Sensor induSENSOR DTD with compact cable controller for series applications in machine building and automation. As it requires only little installation space, it is ideal for integration into machines. Easily integrate inductive displacement sensor into machine
Inductive displacement sensors from Micro-Epsilon impress with robustness, long mechanical service life, reliability in harsh environments, high repeatability, signal quality, and temperature stability. A wide range of sensors includes conventional LVDT, LDR and EDS sensors, but also high-volume versions tailored to OEM’s requirements.
An inductive displacement sensor induSENSOR DTD-xG8 is expanding Micro-Epsilon’s product portfolio even further. This LVDT displacement measuring system consists of a DTA gauge with a plunger guided by a plain bearing and a controller. The controller and the gauge with interchangeable, differently shaped probe tips, are connected to each other with a 3 m drag-chain cable that enables flexible installation. A compact cable controller with a diameter of just 18 mm is ideal for integration into machines.

The LVDT induSENSOR DTD-xG8 will impress you with outstanding precision and resolutions down to the micrometer range. With the available measuring ranges: ±1 mm, ±3 mm, ±5 mm, ±10 mm and high system signal stability, you will be able to cover numerous measurement tasks, in which high accuracy is required.
A compact and robust housing of the controller is made of stainless steel. As this measuring system features high-temperature stability, resistance to shocks and vibrations as well as insensitivity to dirt, you can use it in harsh industrial environments.

Connect inductive displacement sensor in no time
The induSENSOR DTD-xG8 features a number of selectable analog (i.e., (0)2–10 VDC / 0.5–4.5 V / 0–5 V (Ra > 1 kOhm) or 0(4)–20 mA (Ra < 500 Ohm)) and digital (i.e., RS485) interface configurations. Modern fieldbuses such as Ethernet, PROFINET or EtherCAT are also supported via optionally available interface modules. If needed, parameter setting of the measuring system can be carried out via powerful software or a web interface.
The fixed connection of the sensor and the controller enables factory pre-configuration. This facilitates start-up (plug & play) and eliminates the requirement for sensor selection and configuration that are mandatory in the case of the MSC7x0x external controllers.
