Micro-Epsilon’s laser scanners are designed for highly accurate profile and 3D geometry measurement. The scanCONTROL LLT8x00 series captures up to 4,224 points per profile and processes up to 25 million points per second.

Improved signal stability with Green Laser Technology

A major innovation of the series is the integration of Green Laser Technology. Compared to conventional solutions, the optimized wavelength improves signal stability on difficult surfaces, reduces noise, enables shorter exposure times, and increases repeatability.

This allows reliable measurements even on reflective, dark, or structured materials and expands the range of applications where stable and precise 2D/3D measurement results are required.

Ultra-compact design with integrated SMART 3D processing

The scanCONTROL 8500 is currently one of the most compact 4K laser scanners with integrated SMART 3D evaluation. Since signal processing and 3D data evaluation are performed directly inside the sensor, no external controller is required.

This simplifies machine integration, reduces system complexity, and makes the scanner especially suitable for automated production systems and robot-based applications. Its compact footprint also supports both static integration and robot-based applications, offering a flexible and future-proof solution for industrial quality assurance and process monitoring.

Industrial connectivity and true 3D data

For seamless integration into industrial environments, the scanCONTROL 8×00 series supports SMART measurement value transmission via multiple communication standards, including PROFINET, EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP, UDP and Modbus TCP.

The sensors also provide calibrated 3D point clouds via GigE Vision. Instead of conventional 2.5D outputs, the scanners generate true 3D data (Valid 3D), enabling advanced processing and analysis in third-party software environments based on the GigE Vision and GenICam standards.
