Photocell Leuze for demanding applications

The polarized retro-reflective photoelectric sensor (photocell) from the 46C series from the renowned manufacturer Leuze Electronic has an increased functional reserve of as much as 80% compared to previous models.

Take advantage of increased photocell functional reserve

Polarized retro-reflective photoelectric sensor (photocell) from the series 46C from Leuze has an increased functional reserve of as much as 80% compared to previous models.

By increasing the reserve, we achieve two significant improvements:

  • Better and more efficient extraction of ambient light from the environment, now the sensor is practically completely insensitive to ambient light
  • Automatic sensitivity adjustment when impurities appear on the glass and in case of reflections from the surroundings.

Improve reliability and reduce downtime

These improvements mean greater reliability in all conditions and less downtime in industrial applications. Due to these properties, the SR 46C photocell is particularly suitable for use on conveyor belts in the wood processing industry and special machines that require high reliability.

The sensor is intended for use in a wide temperature range from -40 °C to + 60 °C and corresponds to the protection class IP67 or IP69K, which means that it can be used even in the most demanding environments.

Learn about the photocell characteristics

Meet the main characteristics of the photocell, which will enable you to use it in every application:

  • “Teach” button for easy and quick sensitivity adjustment.
  • Rotary potentiometer for precise adjustment of sensitivity in a wide range.
  • Clearly visible LED indicator in the visible position of the sensor.
