Bluetooth M12Plus Connector for Condition Monitoring
Turck is moving cable and contact condition monitoring directly to the plug connector. Their M12Plus connector features integrated electronics to monitor cable voltage and current, along with a Bluetooth Low Energy interface for wireless data transfer.

Defective cabling and contact issues often cause costly downtime and unscheduled maintenance. Turck’s smart M12Plus connectors now address this by condition monitoring of cables and contacts through current and voltage measurements.
Equipped with a Bluetooth chip, these connectors wirelessly transmit voltage and current data to a controller, bringing monitoring directly to the connection technology.
Respond Rapidly Through Early Detection
By comparing input and output values, issues such as cable kinks, breaks, or power outages can be detected early.
Each connector’s unique MAC address allows users to identify cables at risk of failure in advance and replace them promptly. The Turck Automation Suite (TAS), through the Cable Monitor app, visualizes the M12Plus’s measured values, enabling Condition Monitoring and other IIoT applications.
M12Plus Connector Optimized for Demanding Applications
The latest M12Plus design includes a four-core TXL series cable (4 x 0.34 mm²) with a durable polyurethane outer sheath, specifically engineered for drag chain applications. A-coded M12Plus connectors are installed at both cable ends.
Data is transmitted to the interface via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) at 2.4 GHz, with a range of up to 40 m indoors and 100 m outdoors.
When securely fastened, the M12Plus offers IP69K protection, providing excellent resistance to chemicals and oil. It is also flame-resistant, resistant to welding sparks, and highly wear-resistant.
