What’s New in the Vulnerability Hub

Updates to Secomea Prime’s Vulnerability Hub make it easy to monitor the status of your remote access system based on the software and hardware currency. Maintain up-to-date systems effortlessly, ensuring consistent and high-level security with:

The Vulnerability Score provides a quick overview of your security status and highlights the steps needed to keep your system fully updated and secure.

The Filter function enables checking the security of your system at specific production sites or across all sites in a particular region.

Under the Hardware tab, you can quickly identify SiteManagers approaching End of Life or End of Support, allowing for timely replacements.

In the Firmware tab, you can easily see which SiteManagers are not running the latest firmware version, so you can locate and update them promptly.

Add and View SiteManager Information

Access to a centralized overview of all customers’ SiteManagers, their details, and locations is now available directly in Secomea Prime’s Appliances section via “Add” and “View” features.

These features are the first in a series designed to help customers communicate seamlessly and collaborate effectively with their stakeholders.

For each SiteManager, you can register information on its physical location and relevant contact details for the connected machine, simplifying daily operations. This “Add” feature establishes a foundation for improved collaboration between machine builders and manufacturers:

  • Manufacturers can register the contact information of their machine vendors to easily reach out in case of issues with supplied machines,
  • Machine builders can add contact details for the end customers to whom they supplied the respective machines.

The “View” feature provides detailed information for quick troubleshooting. For example, an offline SiteManager can be located by accessing its details and identifying its placement.

What’s New in the Subscription Overview

Secomea Subscription Overview

Product usage can now be tracked in the Subscription Overview, providing details on the number of active SiteManagers, active EndPoints, and concurrent licenses This allows customers to easily manage their subscriptions as needed.

The Subscription Overview is located under Settings, accessible from the dropdown menu by clicking on the profile icon in the top-right corner of the Prime user interface.

Updates in the Professional and Premium Packages

Scanning files transferred remotely to or from an engineering station for viruses or malware before downloading ensures their safety. Secure File Transfer feature enhances protection for OT environments against both internal and external threats, including unintentional ones. Watch the video.

If a third-party service engineer needs to access a customer’s industrial equipment to upgrade firmware, they can now use this feature to scan the firmware for malware before making any changes to the customer’s machine.

Users of Secomea’s Data Collection Module (DCM) can now collect data from any MQTT-compatible device or data source, expanding their data collection capabilities! Watch the video.

The MQTT data collector operates in two modes:

  • Client mode: the SiteManager acts as an MQTT client, collecting data by subscribing to topics on an external broker.
  • Broker mode: the SiteManager acts as an MQTT broker, collecting data by allowing external clients to publish directly to the SiteManager.

Both modes can be configured to support various authentication and TLS encryption schemes, enabling users to create a secure solution tailored to their specific MQTT data collection needs.

Organizations using Okta as their Identity and Access Management (IAM) provider can now simplify and enhance Secomea Prime user authentication with Single Sign-On (SSO) integration.

This feature adds a security layer by ensuring that only verified individuals access specific machines, supporting NIS2 Directive requirements for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).

Secomea already supports MFA through SMS and SSO with Microsoft Azure AD, and now, Okta integration offers administrators improved access management, heightened security, and more efficient authentication.

The updated “Request for Access” feature now allows users to request access to all agents within a domain with a single click, enabling admins to approve or revoke access to the entire domain efficiently.

This enhancement streamlines remote access requests and approvals, improving efficiency for both users and admins while maintaining security.

Secomea’s Data Collection Module (DCM) now supports an expanded range of Rockwell and Allen-Bradley devices via the CIP-EtherNet/IP protocol.

This enhancement allows SiteManager users to collect data from a broader array of operational technology (OT) equipment, facilitating more comprehensive monitoring and analysis.

Data collected via the Data Collection Module (DCM) can now be published directly to AVEVA Insight for advanced processing and analysis. DCM supports major industrial protocols, including OPC UA, Modbus TCP, Siemens S7, Ethernet/IP, and MQTT, allowing seamless data collection from industrial equipment.

Users can send this data to preferred cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure IoT Hub, Amazon AWS IoT Core, and Cumulocity IoT. By leveraging AVEVA Insight, raw machine data can be transformed into actionable insights, enabling predictive maintenance, reducing downtime, and maximizing equipment value.

Customers using Single Sign-On (SSO) can now leverage Secomea Prime as a centralized entry point to access GateManagers across regions.

This unified login provides a single access point and a comprehensive Prime dashboard overview of all connected GateManagers, enhancing navigation, control, and operational efficiency.

Users of the Premium package can now seamlessly integrate Secomea’s support system with their existing organizational system, allowing them to receive, view, and manage all open tickets in a single solution.

This new integration enables centralized support requests and streamlined communication, ensuring efficient issue resolution.
