Cloud Gateways for Industry 4.0
Turck’s TCG20 Series offers you multi-functional IoT gateways specially designed for industrial automation. These cloud gateways with an extensive range of interfaces and master-slave protocols enable you wireless connection to cloud, extending Turck’s offering of Turck Cloud Solutions. The product includes a web-based EDGE PLC, which enables you easy capturing, pre-processing and transferring data from machines to the Cloud.
Integrate Cloud Gateways into Existing Networks
The EDGE gateways in the TCG20 Series offer a variety of master and slave interfaces for simple integration into industrial automation networks. In particular,
they are flexible enough to be installed in existing systems. The interfaces and protocols offered allow you to exchange data with higher-level PLCs in the networks.
You can use several interfaces in parallel. As a result, you can quickly and effortlessly integrate established systems, that already have their own controllers, into cloud systems without the need to replace the existing hardware.
No need for the additional hardware or software
Thanks to the built-in web-based EDGE PLC with its intuitive graphical editor, your data can be pre-processed and prepared as required with the TCG20 Series without any additional hardware or software.
You can carry out configuration of the interfaces and EDGE PLC via a graphical editor directly in the device’s web server, with no additional software tools or time-consuming programming.
Program web-based EDGE PLC easily
The graphical editor allows you to program integrated EDGE PLC quickly and easily on the web server of the device via any standard browser, without the
need to purchase special software or licenses. You can therefore capture, pre-process and transfer data with ease.
The main functions of PLCs are available. TCG20 Series can present up to 8192 I/O values and 1024 variables via the Cloud portal.
Two functions of the integrated EDGE PLC from the TCG20 Series are possible: as a controller in a network (acting as a cloud device) and as a controller itself (acting as a standard PLC).
Grant remote maintenance access
The VPN client function allows you remote maintenance access to be granted securely without any unnecessary complexity.
In parallel with the cloud connection, this function also makes it possible to remotely access the TCG20 or other devices in your system.
You can operate and monitor the VPN tunnel directly from the Turck Cloud Portal.
Exploit solutions for Autonomous Applications
With its variety of interfaces, the integrated EDGE PLC from the TCG20 Series can function as a controller in a network, exchange data with cloud systems and autonomously take on local control tasks. By functioning as a controller itself, the TCG20 renders an additional PLC unnecessary.
On the other hand, you can install the TCG20 Series in existing systems. For example, if data is recorded, processed and transmitted for predictive maintenance applications, you can connect and operate the devices required for this process directly to the TCG20, independently of the existing controllers. That way you can avoid any potentially risky modifications to your established controllers.
