Rugged distance radar sensors that overcome disturbance

Turck is offering you the IP67/69K robust distance radar (DR) sensors for distance measurement up to 15 meters. They are intended for harsh application areas in factory automation as well as in outdoor or mobile applications. As these rugged 122 GHz devices are shock resistant up to 100G and insensitive to dust, rain or light, you can use them in a wide range of applications.

DR sensors can benefit you the most in applications in which optical or ultrasonic sensors fail due to limited range or disturbance factors stated above. Use them in e.g., port logistics, machine and plant building, mobile equipment, and more.

Set up your distance radar sensors easily

Due to the browser-based Turck Radar Monitor parameter user interface, you will be able to set up the distance radar sensors in no time. The real-time display of the signal curve will prove indispensable especially when setting filters to suppress interfering signals or in complicated mounting situations.

Moreover, the FMCW measuring principle of the DR sensors prevents any mutual interference between the signals even when sensors are placed close to one another.

Choose from a wide range of configurations and outputs

There are three different lens configurations available for you depending on the detection field required for your application. You can select the optimal distance radar sensor for: a short and wide, a medium, and a long and narrow detection field.

Variability is further increased by three available output variants. All DR-M30-IOL sensors are provided with IO-Link, switching, and analog output. The latter can also be configured as a second switching output. You can also operate the DR sensors without IO-Link in conventional applications.
