In the OptoNCDT 1900, powerful algorithms with a unique two-step measurement value averaging, optimize the signal, enabling stable measurement results even on demanding surfaces. This high-performance averaging ensures a smooth and accurate signal course at edges and steps, especially for high-speed measurements of moving parts.

Benefit from laser sensor also at metal and rough surfaces

Special variant, the optoNCDT 1900 LL, is intended for reliable measurements on metallic and rough (structured) surfaces. It produces an oval-shaped light spot of just a few millimetres in width which resembles a short »laser line« (LL). This light spot compensates for inhomogeneous surface structures and the so-called »speckling« effect, occurring particularly with metallic surfaces. Interference caused by surface roughness, defects, dents, or holes is additionally filtered out by software algorithms. This enables stable and precise measurement results.

optoNCDT 1900 boasts simple installation and initial operation. Mounting the sensor using fitting sleeves automatically aligns the sensor in the correct position. This enables higher precision in solving measurement tasks as well as easy sensor replacement. Due to its small dimensions, sensor can be integrated also in confined spaces.

Integrate the sensor directly via the Ethernet interface

The laser triangulation sensors are now even smarter thanks to the integrated EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP or PROFINET interface. Depending on the model, you can therefore integrate the full sensor performance into your PLC directly, without any additional interface module. Benefit from real-time data without time delay as well as reduced installation and wiring effort. The sensor parameters can be set directly via Industrial Ethernet or still via web interface.

For high speed measurements, the sensor offers an Oversampling feature. This allows detection or transmition of measurement data four times faster than the PLC’s polling cycle.
